Christina Christopher
DIRECTOR
The Dolphin Theatre has been Christina’s home away from home for many years now and she is happiest backstage helping to bring a directors’ vision to life as props crew, tech op or SM. Her first play at Dolphin was as props assistant in Little Women (2002) which she was convinced to try by a friend as they needed help. Since then, except for a brief stint overseas she hasn’t left!
Taking on the challenge of directing has been a fun, enlightening experience and she is extremely grateful for the support she has had from family and friends and is thankful to everyone who has been involved in putting this production together, as Selznick says ‘You’re my guys. I’m your guy. That’s the only way we’re going to get through it.’

James Calverley
AS DAVID O.SELZNICK
This is James’ first outing with Dolphin Theatre. He saw Moonlight & Magnolias at the Fortune Theatre back in 2008 and it’s been on his performance bucket list ever since. Previously he has performed in How to Catch a Grim Reaper at BATS, in Gasping at the Gryphon Theatre, and in Good People, Cruise Control and The Great Gatsby at Howick Little Theatre. When not on the stage he has a fondness for photography, whiskey, podcasts, stand-up comedy, and hoping the real estate market crashes before he turns 50.

David Steadman
as BEN HECHT
David was last seen on stage in 12 Angry Men at Centrestage and California Suite at HLT. He has appeared in numerous theatre productions over the years in NZ & overseas. Personal favourites include: John Proctor in The Crucible, McMurphy in One Flew over the Cuckoo’s Nest, Juror 8 in 12 Angry Men, Peter in Bug, Bradley in Buried Child, Michael in Festen, Tony in Dial M for Murder & Bruno in Strangers on a Train. TV & Radio credits include numerous commercials & local NZ TV productions. David also provides narration for children’s audiobooks.

Charlie Gautier
as VICTOR FLEMING
Charlie first found his way onto the stage at age 30, and since then has walked the boards at The Dolphin a few times, performing in Improbable Fiction, A Few Good Men, Love Off The Shelf, The Mousetrap, and most recently Lady Susan. Moonlight & Magnolias is one of his favourite, but most painful shows to date. Stay awake and you’ll find out why!

Jacquelyn Moran
as MISS POPPENGHUL
Jacquelyn is delighted to be making her debut at the Dolphin Theatre in the role of Miss Poppenghul, and thrilled to be part of a production with such a dedicated and inspiring team. Her favourite past productions include Music Man and Godspell at Riverlea Theatre in Hamilton, with special fond memories of operating pyrotechnics for Iolanthe. She is currently completing a Masters degree and missing her partner who is rehearsing for another production on opposite nights of the week!
