George Everts
George caught the theatre bug at a young age, performing in a high school production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat that was cancelled before opening night (he still doesn't know why). Since then, he has been impossible to keep off a stage. He has since made the leap to the other side of the audition table, having directed productions of "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying", "Grease", "The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged), "The Addams Family", and "Twisted" over the last few years. Over that time, he has continued to perform. He is thrilled to be back at the Dolphin, bringing a musical which he has so much love and respect for to the stage.

She looks forward to getting involved in more musical theatre next year after graduating.

Kieran Maskell
Kieran has adored the works of Stephen Sondheim since he discovered musical theatre. To get an opportunity to perform in one of his favourites of the latter works is an honour. Playing the Proprietor is a wonderful chance to stretch a different side of villainy. One not so much physical presence, but as influential villainy. Recently, Kieran has been seen on stage in Company Theatre’s Out of Order, Manukau Performing Arts’ RENT and Dolphin Theatre’s Much Ado About Nothing. He is honoured to work alongside the wonderful creative team and cast members to bring this show to life.

Thomas Calver
Tom is an average actor who for some reason keeps getting cast in things. He has been in many shows across Auckland but no theatre will have him back and he is running out. By day he works for the government but that might be changing we don’t know. Bloody Luxon. Gerard Butler in the Phantom of the Opera film is his inspiration and who he is dedicating this performance to. This is his first time performing on the Dolphin stage, not for lack of trying. Turns out he needs to be singing in order to be taken seriously.

Joshua Downs
Josh is thrilled to be taking on one of his dream roles alongside such a wonderful team of people. His previous roles include Jack in Into the Woods, Anthony in Sweeney Todd, Bernstein in Dogfight, and Warner in Legally Blonde. His directing credits include Evil Dead, A Chorus Line, The Drowsy Chaperone, Mr Burns: A Post-Electric Play, and Heathers. His favourite Favourites include Turkish Delight, Flake, and Picnic, but honestly he’d be pleased with anything except a Cherry Ripe.

Ibrahim Al-Salim
Since jumping into the community theatre scene in 2022 playing Pepper in Harlequin Musical Theatre’s Mamma Mia!, Ibrahim has not been able to stay away from the theatre. He has become involved in about a dozen shows with 5 different companies over the past couple of years. Moderation is not one of his talents. Most recently, he performed as part of the ensemble for PTI’s production of Evita. This is his first production with Dolphin and it’s been a wonderful new experience. He is excited to portray such a shitstain of a man for your enjoyment.

Dorren Kemeys
An experienced actress with a slew of credits playing lead and character driven roles, Dorren appeared most recently as Mum in The Anniversary and Lucy/Beggar Woman in Sweeney Todd at Playhouse Theatre, roles that earned her two NAPTA noms and won her an ACTT Award. A familiar face at Dolphin Theatre since first appearing as Helena in A Midsummer Nights Dream in 2006, Dorren is well known for laugh inducing roles and she expects Sara Jane Moore will be no exception! When not treading the boards you’ll find her rocking out as the lead vocalist for covers band, The Rock Puppets.

Kenneth Gaffney
Kenneth was born in Scotland; raised in the South Island. His first musical was Chicago, and he played the Doctor with one line. 20 years later he has come a long way. Kenneth moved to Wellington right after high school to get an acting degree. He graduated and is now forging his destiny as an actor and storyteller. An avid lover of video games, football and many other eclectic interests. He moved to Auckland in 2023, he most recently lived on Kenneth ave in Sandringham with an Italian flatmate from Milan. So hopefully that gives him that Italian edge.

Drew Young
Assassins is Drew’s first time performing with Dolphin and he’s very excited to be sharing the stage with this incredible cast. Drew prepared for this role by locking himself in a room with a Jodie Foster poster and a guitar (method acting is a lifestyle, not a choice) Recent credits include Rent, The Last Five Years, Next To Normal, Spring Awakening, and Wicked. He would like to thank his vocal coach, his therapist, and the Secret Service.

Oliver Johnston
Oliver Johnston is an actor, writer and director. Whilst this is Oliver’s first show at Dolphin, Oliver is very passionate about theatre and has had many fantastic roles in the past, including his NAPTA nominated performance as the Djinn in MPA's Twisted, Mr Burns in Mr Burns: A Post Electric Play, Captain Dolt in Mongoose the Musical as well as the roles of Jake and the alternate Ash in last year's Evil Dead: The Musical. He is very excited to be playing Samuel Byck in this season of Assassins. Oliver wishes you a Happy Halloween!

Elim Rosę
Elim is thrilled to be making his Dolphin Theatre debut, in his second musical theatre show. He previously performed as a Wickersham Brother in Seussical with MPA. While new to theatre, Elim has been singing in choirs since 2020, including GALS, and the stage choruses for Synthony Pride at Spark Arena and Indian Ink Theatre Company’s Dirty Work. Elim is grateful for the opportunity to learn from such a talented cast and crew, and is excited to share this story with you!

Jocelyn Scott
Assassins is Jocelyn’s first show with Dolphin Theatre! Recent credits include Ensemble Cabaret (AMT), Maureen in RENT (MPA), Natalie in All Shook Up (MPA), Kinky Boots (G&T Productions), Veronica in Heathers (MPA). Jocelyn left after year 11 to study at Redroofs School for the Performing Arts in London. She then received a scholarship through the Broadway Dreams Foundation to attend Millikin University in Illinois, USA to study towards a BFA (Hons) in Musical Theatre. Returning to NZ after COVID, Jocelyn obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from the University of Auckland and currently teaches secondary drama and vocal coaches privately.

Jay Sneddon
Jay has been a performer since they were thirteen years old, and this is their first show with Dolphin Theatre. They have performed in productions of Shrek Junior, The Addams Family and Chicago. Musical theatre has been their passion for years as it includes both their favourite aspects of the arts—acting and singing. They are very excited to be a part of Assassins with Dolphin Theatre this year, it has been an amazing production with a stellar cast of people.

Jake La Jeunesse
“Some left wing foreigner," Jake comes from Michigan, the same as Leon Czolgoz and President Gerald Ford, the latter of whom played football with Jake's grandfather at the University of Michigan. Jake has been on stage since the nineties, appearing in New Zealand, South Korea, and the United States, where he used to perform live action historical role playing. He will next appear in Georgy Girl in Papakura.

Amelia Claridge
Amelia is thrilled to be back on stage performing a Sondheim musical with this killer cast! After spending a few years on the creative side of the table, directing multiple shows, her last appearance on stage was in 2023 as a backing vocalist on G&T's The Music Man, and in Little Shop of Horrors with Harlequin Musical Theatre. Last year she directed 'Rent' at Manukau Performing Arts and 'Some Enchanted Evening' at Auckland Music Theatre. She is also excited to be directing 'You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown' with Harlequin at the end of this year.

Jeremy Otto
This is Jeremy’s first show with Dolphin, diving into a musical about misunderstood patriots. A fan of theatrical whining, Jeremy is excited to play characters that let him explore his inner pest with historical backing. Fascinated by disasters and conspiracy theories, Assassins is his dream musical and a great excuse for 2 a.m. Wikipedia rabbit holes. Past roles in RENT and Footloose honed his skills and expanded his social circle, though neither involved this level of historical violence. He’s thrilled to be part of such a delightfully unhinged production and hopes you leave questioning everything, including your Google search history.
