AJ Johnson

AJ Johnson

Bernard Nightingale

AJ has been acting for over 30 years and most recently appeared in The Long Weekend at the Dolphin. Recent credits include Our Man in Havana, The House by the Lake, and California Suite. He is a re-founding and life member of the University of Canterbury Drama Society and very occasionally can be seen around Auckland performing Stand-Up comedy.

Arthur Young

Arthur Young

Arthur has spent most of his theatre time treading the boards as an actor. Most recently he spent a great deal of time as a corpse in The Spider’s Web at Dolphin theatre. He has only recently moved to directing with his first foray in the 2021 Dolphin One Act Festival, directing The Hound. Arcadia is Arthur’s first time directing a full-length play. The process has been challenging, even more so with the disruptions of Covid and assorted winter ailments. Through it all it has been rewarding. Arthur is grateful to his cast and crew for helping put together this play.

Benedict Yew

Benedict Yew

Richard Noakes

Benedict had the opportunity to pursue acting in 2018 on Disney’s Mulan. He was encouraged on set to pursue his dreams so began training in 2019. Despite setbacks during the COVID pandemic, Benedict was cast in his first play in 2022 as Ho-Jon in M*A*S*H* at the Glen Eden Playhouse. Arcadia is his second play, and he hopes to pursue more theatre, film and TV work.

Christine Ball

Christine Ball

Chloe Cloverly

This is Christine’s debut at the Dolphin Theatre. She has performed in community theatre productions since she was 9 years old but most recently, The Secret Garden in 2019 and Mairangi Players’ A Christmas Carol in 2020. Christine would like to thank everyone involved with this production for making it a wonderful experience.

Erin Parkinson

Erin Parkinson

Lady Croom

After years of inspiring and guiding small humans, Erin makes her acting debut upon the boards of the Dolphin Theatre. Erin's Lady Croom is imbued with wit, elegance and an effortless command over her domain - rife with precocious poets and ludicrous landscapers as it may be.

Jacob Gordon

Jacob Gordon

Gus/Augustus

Jacob is an aspiring young actor who is thrilled to be in his first stage production with The Dolphin. When he’s not acting, he enjoys playing basketball and working out.

Jake La Jeunesse

Jake La Jeunesse

Jellaby

Jake has performed onstage in the U.S., Korea, and New Zealand. In his extensive theatrical career, one of his highlights was directing another play by Tom Stoppard: Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead. He also writes. His animated film has recently premiered at the Dolphin and on Youtube.

Jared Abel

Jared Abel

Ezra Chater

Appearing for the first time beneath the Dolphin's arch, Jared is a locally sourced, mostly organic, GMO-free actor and voiceover artist. He is overjoyed to be filling the baffled and bumbling shoes of Ezra Chater, Sidley Park guest and gentleman-poet of dubious renown.

Joshua Boa

Joshua Boa

Captain Brice

Tall, handsome and Scottish, this is Joshua's first appearance on the Dolphin's stage.

Alongside his equally talented moustache, he will be bringing to life Captain Edward Brice, the proud and imposing brother of Sidley Park's Lady Croom.

Kieran Bennett

Kieran Bennett

Valentine Cloverly

Kieran has performed at Dolphin three times before. Once in Spotlight, once in Spiders Web 1: Hope The Show Doesn't Shut, and a third time in Spiders Web 2: Back From Lockdown. Kieran is thrilled to once again take to the stage at Dolphin theatre in such a fun role and promises to only eat sandwiches, and not murder people this time.

Marika van der Voorn

Marika van der Voorn

Thomasina Cloverly

Marika is delighted to be playing Thomasina for this production. Despite her not being English, nor a physicist, nor thirteen, nor from the 18th century, she very much relates to her character. She has acted at both the Dolphin Theatre and Off-Broadway theatre before, and is excited to take on this new role.

Rebekah Talma

Rebekah Talma

Hannah Jarvis

Florist by day, actor and sleep enthusiast by night, this is Rebekah's first show with Dolphin. Her recent roles include - Jane/Valarie in Speaking in Tongues (2021), Lynette/Valarie in Peninsula (2020) and Shelby in Steel Magnolias (2019).

Romain Mereau

Romain Mereau

Septimus Hodge

Romain Mereau is a graduate from Atlantic Acting School in New York. He was recently in The Country House (Dolphin Theatre) and The Girl on the Train (Howick Little Theatre). In his spare time, Romain loves to go to the cinema and eat noisy snacks.
