Christine Cie
This is Christina's first production with Dolphin and she is honoured to join a magnificent cast and crew, producing such a thought-provoking and funny play: "I can hear the voices of my mother, my sister, myself in so many of the lines, but as much as this is a play about women, it is also a play about families and their complex dynamics. It's about how the ones who you love the most aren't always the ones that you listen to or always like." Christina has done a lot of voice acting and so she is relishing actually 'embodying' the character of Suzanne. Offstage, Christina enjoys dancing, tai chi, walking her dog and is looking forward to finally, finally, finishing her PhD.
Isabelle Cohen
A Drama graduate and Dolphin Theatre returnee, Isabelle has recently appeared in M.A.S.H. and The Picture of Dorian Gray. She can often be seen stilt walking or heard voice acting. Isabelle is always on the lookout for interesting queer and female-led projects.
Lynn Webster
Lynn has appeared in over forty productions, both plays and musicals, at Auckland community theatres since moving to New Zealand from London in 1997. Her professional acting career spanned twenty-five years and four cities! A highlight: two years in the National Theatre production of Guys and Dolls in the ‘80s. Her most recent musical at Auckland Music Theatre was Little Women in July-August this year and last year Lynn won a Northern Area Performance Theatre Award for her portrayal of Big Mama in Tennessee Williams’ Cat on a Hot Tin Roof at Company Theatre. Lynn is delighted to return to Dolphin, having last played here in 2011, Lost in Yonkers. Her day job is teaching yoga. Namaste!
Merrin Cavel
Originally from Christchurch, Merrin has been involved in theatre for about 25 years, having received qualifications in Directing for Stage, Television Production, Theatre, Musical Theatre, and has lived and worked broadly in the arts all over New Zealand and overseas. After completing most of her theatre training, Merrin was based in London for a few years where she completed a short course in directing at RADA while interning at Shakespeare's Globe, Royal Opera House and The Old Vic, learning first-hand about producing theatre from some of UKs best, before returning to NZ.
Last year she directed Jess Sayers 'Sham' At Ellerslie Theatre.
Her most recent stage appearances have been in 'Big Fish' at Papakura Theatre, 'Things I Know To Be True' at Ellerslie Theatre, ‘Flint Street Nativity’ at Dolphin Theatre and 'Dirty Work' for Indian Ink at TAPAC.
