Director
Laurie Mills has been involved with community theatre in Auckland throughout his adult life, mainly as an actor and director at Howick Little Theatre.
He last directed at Dolphin 20 years ago and looks forward to renewing his friendship here. Laurie has also directed numerous productions for the Howick & Children’s Theatre where he is now a proud patron. He has a definite liking for plays set in the past, distant or recent, and One Man is no exception.
He first visited Brighton in 1968, so his memories of the city and of England in the 60s are reasonably authentic!

A rollicking and intensely funny play. Francis Henshall finds himself in the tricky situation of trying to please two bosses while keeping them unaware of one another. He’s not the smartest chap, and being caught up in their various competing schemes makes for a chaotic day.
Adapted from Carlo Goldoni’s 1743 Commedia dell’arte play A Servant of Two Masters, the action is updated to Brighton, England, 1963. Dolphin is proud to have this play in its 2016 schedule. It has been a hit in London and New York since its 2011 debut.
